Independent Bookstore Day 2025

|

Independent Bookstore Day (Indie Bookstore Day) was established in 2013 to promote, celebrate, and highlight the value of the Independent bookstore community. The day has been observed on the last Saturday of April every year since 2013. This year, there are over 1,200 stores participating across the country.

Independent Bookstore Day is organized by the American Booksellers Association, a national not-for-profit trade organization, that works with booksellers and industry partners to ensure the success and profitability of independently owned book retailers, and to assist in expanding the community of the book. Come by for:

  • Prize wheel all day
  • 20% specials throughout the day
  • LibroFM Golden Ticket (winner receives 12 audiobook credits)
  • Banned Book Bookstore Bingo

A book is a gift you can open again and again.

Be Kind! Kindness Campaign 2025

|

Let’s Be Kind!

In the month of May, we are exploring how building community through books creates kindness and empathy. For K- 8th grade children, we are reaching out to teachers to sign up for a free teacher kit (book and activities) if they commit to reading the book and completing the activity sometime in May.

Teens/Adults will have a unique opportunity to be kind the entire month. Complete a Kindness Bingo Sheet focused on Random Acts of Kindness and books focusing on empathy for a prize. On June 12th, come celebrate being kind. There will also be free goodies for everyone.

Are you ready to be kind?!

Are you a teacher in Pre-K-8th?

Register for a Kindness Teacher Kit. It will include one free book, extension activity, and fun activities. We simply ask you to commit to reading with your classroom during the month of May.
