Peninsula Book Collaborative’s mission is to build and grow the next generation of book lovers.

Peninsula Book Collaborative has a goal to support book lovers in North San Mateo County. Our nonprofit bookstore and community space is located at 441 Westlake Center. The nonprofit bookstore will be operated by Peninsula Book Collaborative.

New Hours!

On November 13th, 2024 we expanded our hours! Our new hours are:

Wednesday – Friday 12 pm- 8 pm

Saturday -Sunday 10 am-6 pm

This brings us open 5 days and 40 hours a week. We are thrilled to be able to do this with the support of our staff and volunteers. We hope to see you when we are open!

 

We will also have a few special hours for the holidays. Be on the lookout and thank you for your support!

A book is a gift you can open again and again.

We are hiring!

We are hiring for the first time!!!!

Come create our team at Peninsula Books as a Bookstore Associate. Please review the job description and if you are interested, send in your cover letter and resume to contact@peninsulabooks.org. Please write BOOKSTORE ASSOCIATE in the subject line.

The position is temporary, however there is an opportunity for it to become permanent. We will be hiring at least three associates.

We will begin interviewing mid-October and we expect positions to begin November 1st.

Once we hire, the hours for the location will be:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday – 12- 8 pm
Saturday & Sunday – 10-6 pm

FUNDRAISER for Peninsula Book Collaborative

Peninsula Books (441 Westlake Center)

Join us for a night of celebrating banned books and the freedom to read. We will have banned books available for purchase, silent auction items, and more. Learn how to get involved to “liberate” books and what banned books need to be added to your your TBR list.  Light refreshments will be served.

Reception & Silent Auction begins at 5:30 pm
Silent Auction ends at 7:30 pm

 

Tickets are $20 and includes light refreshments.

We have a limited amount of free teacher tickets so register today!
