SUMMARY:Meet & Greet with Jessica Brenner
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a meet and greet with author Jessica Brenner and learn more about her latest middle grade fantasy novel\, Pixie Dust and Other Dangerous Things. \nAbout the Book\nPixie Dust and Other Dangerous Things has an unforgettable premise: What if Tinker Bell wasn’t the petty\, jealous pixie we assumed her to be\, but the hidden architect of Neverland itself? And what if Peter Pan’s charm and pluckiness was the most dangerous thing on the island? Told in Tinker Bell’s wry\, sharp voice\, Pixie Dust and Other Dangerous Things is a Peter Pan retelling which exposes the cost of eternal youth\, the danger of misplaced loyalty\, and the truths Peter never wanted anyone to hear. \nAbout the Author\nJessica Brenner is a writer\, counselor\, and mother of three who grew up on the San Francisco peninsula. Her latest book\, a middle grade fantasy entitled Pixie Dust and Other Dangerous Things\, was published by Journey Institute Press on August 30. For the last fifteen years she has worked to help Bay Area high school students find their voices through writing: an experience she credits with strengthening her own storytelling. She has been recognized by Children’s Book International\, the Storytrade Awards\, LCGBA\, and the Independent Author Awards.
