Peninsula Book Collaborative would love to partner with you!

Schools & Community Organizations

Community Programs: We occasionally provide space free of charge for community organizations to host a program. If you are interested, please complete the form with your interest. We require at least two weeks advance notice and we are not able to accommodate all requests.

Field Trips: We offer field trips on weekday mornings (M-F before noon) PreK to 8th grade. Students will be able to come into the store, look at books, enjoy a storytime and extension activity. All children receive one free book to take home for their home library.

School Visits: For school visits, one of our vested volunteers will bring a few books, read 1-2 books to students, and the school/class will receive a copy of the book for their classroom.

Book Fairs: We offer a curated selections of books and merchandise tailored to each school’s preferences, drawing from past sales data and current trends. Our book fairs are supported by a team of knowledgeable and dedicated book people who are ready to assist throughout the entire process. Fairs can be on site, in store, or online.

Fundraisers: To support our schools, we organize fundraising nights – choose a night and 20% of the proceeds will go back to the school.

Wishlists: Fulfill a book wishlist for your classroom, school, or organization. With a dedicated list for your requested age range (we can create or you can provide), customers/community members can purchase a new book(s) for you and we will collect them for you.

You can also create an online list through our bookshop.org site where books can be sent directly to your school/home.

You can also submit a wish list by filling out the Wishlist Program Form. We will provide you with a flyer that you can share with families (if desired) and we will promote the program on our website, on-site at Peninsula Books, and on social media. Books can be picked from the Daly City location.

Author Events

Meets and Greets

What are ‘Meets and Greets’ ?

Meet & Greets (or author signings) are key local events that give local authors a chance to connect one-on-one with the community and generate interest for their literacy creation.

These generally take place between 1:30-4:00 pm, and can be either an hour or two hours long.

We promote these events with in-store book displays and posts on our website event calendar.  Additional promotions are the responsibility of the author.

Week of Meet-and-Greet

We will provide an in-store display with the author’s name, a flyer displayed in the window with the event date and time,  books for purchase, and social media posts.  The author is responsible for other promotional materials such as  posters, radio and newspaper advertisements.

Day of Meet and Greet

We will provide a table, water, pens, books. The author will be responsible for promotional materials.

 Schedule a Meet and Greet

To schedule a ‘Meet and Greet’, please fill out the contact form above and we will be in touch.

Please provide  some days that work for you when you fill out the form.

Purchase of Books

We can get the book through Ingram or directly from the author. For self published authors, we  limit our purchase to a maximum of five books.

If you want to bring your own stock, please let us know so we can prepare for this.

Please note and remember when you schedule your Meet and Greet event. We do not make reminder calls.

Book Launch Or Author Events!

Would you like to host a launch party for your new upcoming release? Would you like to read from your book or be in conversation?

Please fill out the contact form above and share a little about your book and the size of the event. We’ve found that most of these events do best when there is a group of followers or friends/family who support the event. These events happen around 6 or 7 pm on weekdays or near or at closing on weekends (5 or 6 pm.)

Take a look at our events page, which has both upcoming and past events. Community events, author talks, writing workshops, fields trips – it’s all there! We would love to collaborate with you and hear from you. Lets connect!
